RMST IS ON THE RISE!!!!!!!!!

Coaches BLOG:

Hi SEALS families!

We’re looking better and better each meet! I am soooooooo BLESSED by my AWESOME, motivated coaching staff; my wonderful, supportive board of directors; my encouraging parents; the greatest computer person in the world (so patient and knowledgeable) and my SUPER SEAL swimmers!!!!! It is truly an honor to be a part of this team!

Meet season is upon us and I want you all to know what I expect of you for meets. Below are my rules for meets. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to get ahold of me. Please understand that the meet sheet that is posted on the web before any given meet is a “pre-lim” sheet and there are ALWAYS changes right up to the time the meet begins and even during the meet. So, take it as a “guideline,” not a finality. Check with me or Cathy at the meet if you have any questions at the meet.

We are a “TEAM!” Therefore…

    1. EVERYONE must be at warm-ups even if your events aren’t until later in the meet. A car has to warm up before it can run properly and efficiently and the same thing applies to our bodies.
    2. Team talk and cheer will be 15 min. before warm-ups at away meets (4:45 on Wed. evenings and 8:15 on Saturdays) and 15 min. before home meets begin (5:15 on Wed. evenings and 8:45 on Sat. mornings). I like ALL coaches, parents and swimmers to gather for this motivation and PUMP UP time. We are a FAMILY!! Let’s FUEL IT UP!!!!!
    3. NO ONE LEAVES THE MEET WITHOUT “CHECKING OUT” WITH ME FIRST in case there are changes to events, ESPECIALLY RELAYS.
    4. Swimmers, always give your name to the recorder who sits behind the timers in you lane, as sometimes events are combined and you are given new lanes and heats and you might not get the correct time.

Know that I am BIG on communication. So, don’t be shy.

See y’al at the pool!!!!

Best Regards,
Debbie Johnson

YES WE WILL!!!!!!!!!

RMST is one of 62 recreational swim teams located in Contra Costa County. County. The home pool is located at 2400 Stewart Avenue in Walnut Creek. The Seals team includes over 100 swimmers ranging in age from 4 to 18. As a recreational team, the primary emphasis of the club is for the swimmers to have fun and to experience the personal rewards that  result from working hard to reach their individual potential. While many of our members are families from the Rudgear Homeowners Association, we also have swimmers from other parts of Walnut Creek, Alamo and other adjacent cities.

For information or questions about the team feel free to contact one of our directors: Mandy Sherwood (by email or by phone 925-944-1905) or Barbie Roth  (by email or by phone 925-314-9373).
